Obituary for Judith Berman
Judith Ann (Gaboda) Berman, of Nashua, NH passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 1, 2018 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
Judy was born on August 13th, 1942 in Colver, PA. She grew up in Dunellen, NJ graduating from Dunellen High School in 1960. She earned her RN from Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, NJ, where she worked in the Intensive Care Unit.
She married the love of her life, Richard Berman, on August 8th, 1964, in New Jersey.
Following her marriage, she moved to Nashua, N.H. and for 52 years worked as Vice President of Berman Real Estate, Inc.
Judy served as an Alderman for the City of Nashua as well as on the Nashua Board of Education for eight years, the last two as President. She was a member of the Nashua Chamber of Commerce and Nashua Rotary West, where she was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellows.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Berman of Nashua, her son Eliot Berman and wife Christine of Bow, her son David Berman and his partner Anna Harmison of Boston; Loving grandchildren, Cory, Hannah, Jacob, Jake, Matthew; and her brother Tim Gaboda and his wife Maureen of Whitehouse Station NJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (Hazy) Gaboda, brother James Robert Gaboda and her nephew Timothy Patrick Gaboda.
Judy lived for her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed reading, traveling to her winter home in Florida and tending to her garden and flowers. She adored cooking and baking for her loved ones any chance she could. She had the best time in the company of her life-long friends Linda and David Ainsworth. Judy touched the lives of all those she met and was loved deeply by many. She had the sweetest soul and the most caring heart. She was truly an angel on this earth.
At her request, there will be no services or calling hours. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the Nashua Humane Society, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
