Obituary for Beverly Donovan (Levoy)
Beverly Ann (Levoy) Donovan of Nashua, NH, died on December 25, 2017, at her home with her devoted husband and family at her side.
She was born on January 23, 1935 in Boston, MA. Daughter of the late George and Frances (Gioncardi) Levoy Sr.
Beverly was the wife of Robert E. Donovan of Nashua. They were married in February of 1966 in Brookline NH and shared over 51 years of marriage.
Beverly was a great strength and inspiration and will forever be remembered for her love of family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, dancing, and was an avid reader throughout her life. She was a fantastic cook and loved to entertain. She especially loved family camping trips and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought her so much joy and happiness.
Beverly was very generous with her time and active in church organizations, Ash Street Shelter, and a host family for Fresh Air Fund. She was highly creative and enjoyed ceramics, even owning her own ceramics studio for several years. She was a food service coordinator for the Nashua School District and a long time parishioner of Parish of the Resurrection where she taught CCD and served as a Eucharist Minister. She was a graduate of North Quincy High School in North Quincy, MA.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her brother, George Levoy Jr., and by her daughter, Linda Libby, and son-in-law, Earle Libby. Besides her loving and devoted husband Bob, she is survived by her children and their spouses; Cheryl and Rick Beausoleil of Greenville NH, Donna and George Scontsas of Nashua, Lisa and Matt Morse of Nashua, Tracy and Danny Leblond of Bedford NH and Scottsdale AZ, Kerry and Steven Cheney of Weare NH, and Shawn and Ali Donovan of Hampton NH. Survivors also include her beloved 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her sister Georgianna Stevenson, her brother Ralph Levoy, and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and sister-in-laws.
The family is especially grateful to the loving and compassionate staff of Home Health & Hospice Care, all of whom worked tirelessly to make Beverly’s final days more comfortable. Beverly was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in memory of Beverly at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad St., Nashua, on January 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment prayers and burial will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
