Philip DiMarzio, 71, a longtime resident of Nashua, died unexpectedly at St. Joseph Hospital on December 8, 2017, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Leominster, MA on December 20, 1945, a son of the late Philip and Clara (Orsini) DiMarzio. Before moving back to NH, he and his family, had lived in Texas for several years.
Phil was the husband of Marie (Hurlburt) DiMarzio. They have shared over 47 years of marriage.
Phil is remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was taking his grandchildren out on the boat at Lake Sunapee. Phil retired after many years as the Vice President of Sales at Sterilite. He loved his years working in the plastics industry and would always have a door prize in hand when you visited him.
Besides his beloved wife, Marie, Philip is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Steven Beaulieu and his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Laura DiMarzio; his beloved grandson, Pierce Beaulieu and his two beloved granddaughters, Sophie and Evelyn DiMarzio; his sisters, Barbara Fontain, Phyllis DiMarzio, Clara Hannula, Domenica DiMarzio and Patricia Blankenship; and numerous nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Wednesday evening, December 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad St., Nashua on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM. Interment prayers and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial donation to Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
