David Russell King, age 72, passed away peacefully after a long illness at the Greenbriar Kindred Healthcare Center in Nashua on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was born on August 2, 1945 in Somerville, MA, the son of the late Russell and Dorothy (Morrison) King.
David served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, receiving a medical discharge. He worked many jobs throughout his life including working for Market Basket and also as an assembler for Raytheon. He practiced many religions including Catholicism, 7th Day Adventist, Mormon, Soka Gakkai and considered himself a Jew, though never attended Temple. David also played various instruments, but mainly piano. He had a great interest in civil engineering, astrology, Judaism and Hebrew, religion and genealogy.
In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brother Jackie King and a nephew.
David is survived by his spouse of 7 years, Teresa Moler, joining in a Civil Ceremony on October 9, 2010, a sister Judith and her husband Tom Doucette, a brother Richard “Dickie” King, his aunt and uncle Ernest and Jean Morrison, a niece Ashley and a grandniece Shaynia. David also leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends.
SERVICES: Friends and family are warmly invited to attend a Buddhist funeral service on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua. Burial in Edgewood Cemetery, Amherst St., Nashua, will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial donations in David’s name may do so to N.A.M.I.
