Nashua, NH – Pornphan Wasuanankun, 70, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. One of eleven children, Pornphan was born August 31, 1947 in Ratchaburi, Thailand to Siang Hai and Sam Lee SaeLim.
During the earlier years of her life she worked in a factory and later operated a fruit and vegetable store. In 1995, she emigrated to the United States, settling in Nashua, NH where she worked in the family restaurant. Well-known for her skill in preparing traditional Thai dishes, she delighted friends and family with countless dinners. Despite receiving a diagnosis of terminal cancer two years ago, she continued blessing her family with meals.
In 2002, Pornphan was baptized into the family of believers on August 6, a day which she always referred to thereafter as, “My new birthday”.
Her Love of cooking was exceeded only by her love of family. She is predeceased by her parents and three siblings. Her beloved son, Ekachai Ngamcharoenthana and his wife LeeAnna survive her as do her three cherished grandchildren, Myles whom she named Manoo, Julia named Manao, and Aislinn whom she called Ma-muang. Also surviving are seven siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 130 Spitbrook Rd, Nashua, NH on Friday, October 20 at 11:00am. Preceding the service, family visitation begins at 9:00am. A luncheon at the church will be served following the service.
