Robert F. Cote, 75, of Nashua, died at Kindred Healthcare in Nashua on October 10, 2017.
He was born on April 6, 1942 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, son of the late Arthur and Mary (Christie) Cote.
Bob graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1960. He began his professional career at the historical Doehla’s Greeting Cards in Nashua. From there he transitioned into a career as a systems analyst and spent 2 decades at Cumberland Farms in their corporate office.
Mr. Cote was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish. He was instrumental in establishing the Immaculate Conception Parish Chapter of the Knights of Columbus #13904. At one point he even served as Grand Knight of the chapter.
He was also very involved in bringing youth soccer to Nashua and all of New Hampshire. Initially at the local Y as part of the Nashua Youth Soccer League, then he went on to help establish the Nashua Girls Soccer League.
He leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife of 51 years, Sherry (Bridges) Cote. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Jennifer Cote, and grandsons Connor and Parker of Pelham; his daughter, Christine Cote of Nashua. He had two brothers, Joseph Cote of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Ronald Cote (deceased) of Nashua and his children Veronica Adams and Jon Mooney, both of Manchester.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 E. Dunstable Rd, Nashua on Saturday morning, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Interment prayers and burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
