Obituary for Rosa Fowler (Gomes)
Rosa (Gomes) Fowler, 59, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully at her home on September 28, 2017.
Mrs. Fowler was born in Mataduços, Portugal on November 2, 1958, a daughter of Manuel and Ilda (Bastos) Gomes.
She was the widow of Douglas Fowler, who died on April 12, 2014. They shared over 12 years of marriage.
Rosa’s family and friends were the center of her life especially her beloved children and grandchildren. She was a friend to everyone she met and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Rosa loved to dance and attend concerts. She is remembered for her adventurous spirit and following the winds to her next adventure. Mrs. Fowler was also a member of Pilgrim Chapter #55, OES in Nashua.
Most recently, she had been working for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. Prior to working at St. Joseph Hospital, she had been a long time administrative assistant at Harvard University.
Rosa attended Somerville High School in Somerville, MA.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Fowler is survived by her children, Michelle Pinheiro and her fiancé, Todd Dickens of Exeter; Melinda Pinheiro Downs and her husband Timothy Downs of Nashua; Christopher Fowler and his wife Tatiana Fowler of Nashua; her grandchildren, Desiree Pinheiro, Seraphim Fowler, Jacen Tyr Fowler and Morrigan Fowler; her brother and sister-in-law, Manny and Debbie Gomes Jr; and her nieces, Clarissa Fernandes, Jessica Ford and her husband, Jeff, Vanessa Gomes and Britney Sullivan; her grandniece, Layla Ford; and numerous friends.
SERVICES. Visiting hours will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua, on Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 E. Dunstable Rd., Nashua on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
